I've never heard of this and am not sure why it's doing that. My guess though would be that the Z2 is trying to set up the FX in a specific order and either moves the Gater to somewhere else or takes it of the list. This v1 mapping also doesn't have all the MacroFX which the Z2 uses so that could partially cause it as well. If you still can't solve the issue after a bit open up a ticket with DJTT support

the v2 update will be released within a day or so. but re-read the beginning of the description on this page and it will let you know how to get the v1 versions working well, you just need to use the legacy firmware.

ok so i think what is happening is that when you updated traktor it updated the fx settings to the default traktor fx list ordering which is different from the fx settings order in this mapping. in the short term the way to fix this would be to re-import this .tsi while also making sure to import the fx settings. you may need to do this twice to get the fx ordering to work correctly and then the effects should all load as expected.

on another note, i will be posting an update to this mapping next week which will update the fx settings to match the default traktor order and will also change some of the LED visual feedback (as a result of new MF3D firmware which will be released next week as well). i hope to also add some features i've had on my mind but that depends on how much time i have

hmm this mapping doesn't have anything to do with headphone cue control so i'm not sure why you're having that issue. maybe when you imported the file it changed your audio routing settings? i would go through the traktor preferences to see if you can fix this issue in there because it shouldn't have anything to do with this mapping.

there isn't one currently in the download files since the only setting that's needed is the 4 Banks Disabled Hold mode but I will be updating this mapping by next week and that update will have an mfs file included.

i'm a bit confused. when you say switch Gater1 or Gater2 for the 3d motion delay what do you mean by "3d motion"? i assume you mean switch the two left most buttons on the bottom row of the mf3d from both being gaters and adding a delay and ttfx. if thats correct i somewhat agree but i think after i get another solid update on this i'm going to make an edit to this mapping changing out a lot of the effects except for maybe the beatmasher and echo freeze. i just want to keep this similar to the IG mapping layout because its named DeckGrat and don't want to be confuse those who have watched those old mf classic videos

Yeah 3d motion = Motion FX. All these new toys means new jargon. Yes, switch the two left most buttons on the bottom row to delay and ttfx. A consistent delay is always useful. Then having Gater be motion controlled gives it more depth and flexibility. But keep it close to the old MF classic videos. Love the 1.1.2 update too!

ok, i'll have to look into this a bit more before i can fully figure out what's going on and let you know. all the testing i did on this last version was not with the remix deck fw yet so there could potentially be some odd behavior but i'm not sure.

sure thing. in the controller manager select the DeckGratMotion [Focus] mapping in the Device listbox, sort by Comments, and look for "Instant FX 3-3" and you'll want to adjust the "Knob 3" mapping command value

hi henry, if you go into the controller manager, in the device listbox click it and select the DeckGratMOTION mapping part, sort by the Comments column, you'll want to delete the lines commented "Motion Fwd", "MotionFX 2-3 Fwd", and "MotionFX 3-3 Fwd". that should do it. i'm going to try to clean up a bit of the commenting in the next release too to make it easier to figure out

thanks jibb. i think you are correct as i just tested and confirmed some of the fx routing issues on 2.5.1. i apologize as this is a major bug and should not be happening. i honestly don't remember noticing this and am now wondering how this could've been missed. anyways, i'll fix this and reupload asap. thanks for the feedback

try d/l'ing it again. i just tested it and it downloaded on my mac fine as a .tsi. just make sure not to open it but to import it within traktor.

thanks! yeah the slicer function is pretty cool. i'll think about how to integrate it but i'm also thinking of making a different mapping that shares similar concepts where there's more space and less shift functions. i guess i could try to put it in shift and the 2nd row filter or delay buttons, but then you also lose the ability to keep those on with the shift function. if a bunch of others rally around this idea then i'll try to make it happen.

yes this is very valid issue and i am definitely going to fix this to make fx3 switch into a group whenever its being used. it likely also effects vci-100 users so its definitely worth it. to help you in the meantime tho the way i get around it currently is just to use the fx section on the vci-400 to switch it fx3/fx4 to group (shift+the encoder).

hmm this is weird. are you able to consistently replicate this issue? it sounds like it's an issue with an fx reset for a specific motionFX setting that is resetting in the dead zone but also the fact that when you change decks the fx are not turning off the other. but i can't really be sure because i'm not sure if i'm doing it. if you can provide a step by step way to reproduce it (or send me a video through support) and i'll try to figure it out

i'm having trouble figuring out in my head what your issue might be. can you confirm if everything is working fine on deck a? can you get the top mode buttons to change which led's are lit when pressing each one? are you using an updated mf utility?

everything does not work i cant switch through decks and none of the 3d effects work and no i cant update it because im in Afghanistan and the computer that has the mf utility doesn't have internet access

go into the Controller Manager in Traktor Preferences, look in the device listbox, there should be two mappings that say MF3DDeckGrat etc, make sure both of those mappings In-Port and Out-Port are properly set to the MiF3D.

you are mapping the secondary motion cc which will trigger in after 45 degrees. just make sure to learn the mapping in the first 45 degrees of the motion. the cc number will be smaller

yeah im also having that problem.

you need to make sure your MF 3D is in "Four Banks Disabled" Mode in the MF Utility. Also make sure that the In-Port and Out-Port are set for both of the mappings that load into the Controller Manager
