Description and Instructions

This is the mapping from the article "Velocity Sensitive Control of FX + Remix Decks in Traktor. This has been updated with the correct Controller Editor mapping and there is now a video that walks through the entire mapping =). 

***UPDATE***: Follow the same steps from the original Maschine mapping to import this mapping. As stated in the new video most of the features remain the same with the exception of Group B, E, and F. 

Group Pages:

  • A - Cues A+B (Cue's 1-8), Holding mute besides the pads will delete cue's when you hit the pad
  • B - Cue Slicer A+B: Bottom 8 pads control Deck A, Top 8 pads control Deck B
  • C - Remix Deck C, Press note repeat beside the pads to trigger the velocity mode in the remix decks)
  • D - Remix Deck D, Press note repeat beside the pads to trigger the velocity mode in the remix decks)
  • E - Deck A Cue Slicer/Key Remix: Bottom 8 pads control 8 cue slices, Top 8 pads control Key. Hold Rec and press any pad to reset key to 0
  • F - Deck B Cue Slicer/Key Remix: Bottom 8 pads control 8 cue slices, Top 8 pads control Key. Hold Rec and press any pad to reset key to 0
  • G - Deck A Cue's 5-8, Flux loops, 8 Pressure FX
  • H - Deck B Cue's 5-8, Flux loops, 8 Pressure FX

Maschine Transport section:

  • Play - Deck A/C play pause
  • Erase - Deck B/D play pause
  • Restart - Deck A/C Master
  • Left arrow - Deck A/C Sync
  • Right Arrow - Deck B/D Master
  • Grid - Deck B/D Sync
  • Rec - Modifier for transport secton (hold for Deck C/D), also hold to change remix deck pages with the 8 buttons beside the pads

Knob Pages: Most knob pages are split into either A/B, C/D, or FX 1/2

Transition Tools:

  • Knob 1: Seek Deck A
  • Knob 2: Tempo Adjust Deck A
  • Knob 3: Loop Size
  • Knob 4: Dry/Wet FX 1
  • Knob 5: Seek Deck B
  • Knob 6: Tempo Adjust Deck B
  • Knob 7: Loop Size
  • Knob 8: Dry/Wet FX 2

  • Button 1: Deck A Key knob -1/key on (hold rec modifier)
  • Button 2: Deck A Key knob +1/key reset (hold rec modifier to reset)
  • Button 3: Deck A Loop Set
  • Button 4: Echo Freeze FX Bank 3
  • Button 5: Deck B Key knob -1/key on (hold rec modifier)
  • Button 6: Deck B Key knob +1/key reset (hold rec modifier to reset)
  • Button 7: Deck B Loop Set
  • Button 8: Echo Freeze FX Bank 4

Remix Deck Mute:
  • Knob 1-4: Remix Deck C Volume Slots
  • Knob 5-8: Remix Deck D Volume Slots
  • Button 1-4: Remix Deck C Mute 1 - 4
  • Button 5-8: Remix Deck D Mute 1 - 4

Remix Deck Function:
  • Button 1: Load C (hold and press pad in Group C that you want to load song into)
  • Button 2: Delete C (hold and press pad in Group C that you want to delete)
  • Button 3: Reverse C (hold and press pad in Group C that you want to reverse)
  • Button 4: Capture C (hold and press pad in Group C that you want to capture a loop to)
  • Buttons 5-8 are the same but it applies to Remix Deck D and group D

Transition FX:
  • Knob 1: FX 3 D/W
  • Knob 2: FX 3 Knob 1
  • Knob 3: FX 3 Knob 2
  • Knob 4: FX 3 Knob 3
  • Knob 5: FX 4 D/W
  • Knob 6: FX 4 Knob 1
  • Knob 7: FX 4 Knob 2
  • Knob 8: FX 4 Knob 3

  • Button 1: FX 3 Button 2 (this will create a freeze for delay's and reverbs)
  • Button 2: Delay (loads a delay in FX bank 3 with good settings for a freeze)
  • Button 3: Reverb (loads a reverb in FX bank 3 with good settings for a freeze, turn up the D/W for a more intense freeze)
  • Button 4: TTFX (loads a TTFX into FX bank 3, hit it and it will eventually lead to a long turntable wind down, hit it again and it'll instantly reset and bring the track back to full volume)
  • Button 5: FX 4 Button 2 (this will create a freeze for delay's and reverbs)
  • Button 6: Delay (loads a delay in FX bank 4 with good settings for a freeze, after hitting freeze hit again to kill the fx)
  • Button 7: Reverb (loads a reverb in FX bank 4 with good settings for a freeze, turn up the D/W for a more intense freeze, after a freeze hit the button to reset the fx)
  • Button 8: TTFX (loads a TTFX into FX bank 4, hit it and it will eventually lead to a long turntable wind down, hit it again and it'll instantly reset and bring the track back to full volume)

I just downloaded your mapping it's awesome thanks I have one question the knobs don't work and the right screen shows all the tamplates I'm indoing something wrong

Hey Ryan! Thanks for this mapping! your a genius!!!!! This is much more advanced then any other mapping I have seen! Also thanks for making a video! I will email with some questions I have about updates.

There is plans for a significant update in the future and incorporating similar features into a Push 2 controller as well.
