🎧 Numark Party Mix II - Traktor Pro 4 Custom Mapping (.tsi)
Description and Instructions
Hey everyone! I’ve put together a fully functional custom mapping for the Numark Party Mix II running on Traktor Pro 4. This mapping gets the hardware working smoothly with Traktor, specifically tackling the Pad Modes so you can get the most out of your performance pads.
Here are the specs and functionalities you can expect when you download the .tsi file:
🎛️ Mapping Specs & Features
Standard Mixer & Transport: Play, Cue, Sync, Crossfader, Volume Faders, 2-Band EQ (High/Low), and Filter knobs are all fully mapped.
Browser Navigation: The rotary knob seamlessly scrolls through your library, and Load 1 / Load 2 buttons instantly drop tracks into the decks.
Jog Wheels: Fully calibrated for scratching, nudging, and pitch-bending.
Custom Pad Modes (Via Modifiers): The physical "Pad Mode" button cycles through the pages just like standard DJ software:
CUE Mode: Triggers Hot Cues 1-4 (Hold Mode).
LOOP Mode: Pad 1 (Auto-Loop On/Off), Pad 2 (Cut Loop in Half), Pad 3 (Double Loop Size), Pad 4 (Reloop).
EFFECT Mode: Mapped to trigger Traktor's built-in FX (like Reverbs and Delays) for big transitions.
💡 Important Setup Detail: The "Pad FX & Cue" Workflow
Because of how this entry-level controller handles MIDI, the Pad Mode button globally shifts the pads. This means if you switch to Effect Mode to do a massive Reverb/Delay build-up on Deck A, the pads on Deck B will also be in Effect Mode (meaning you can't hit a Hot Cue to start your next track at that exact second).
The Workaround for Big Transitions (Genre Changes):
If you are washing out Deck A with a big Pad FX tail to do a hard genre change, simply prep your incoming track on Deck B using the dedicated hardware CUE button (located right next to the PLAY button) instead of the performance pads. Just set your cue point there, let your Deck A effects ring out, and punch the main Cue/Play on Deck B to drop the next track. It works perfectly for massive, clean transitions!
Drop a comment if you download it and let me know how the mapping feels!
