This in an edit of dschroeter Traktor mapping for push. I haven't made a video explaining how it works yet but I will give instructions as best as possible. When messing around with his mapping I found that many of these buttons were actually free and I managed to cram this is without taking away any other mappings. The best setup would be having decks A and B as scratch decks while C and D are remix decks.
Changes: The only changes I have made are integration with remix decks, I have also mapped the VU meters to pitch changes. You can use the shift button (native play button) and the start/stop button to reset the filter to the decks respectively. I then ran out of buttons but am hoping to figure out better ways to make this mapping. It works something like this:
- The effects and mixer tabs (Add Effect, Add Track) buttons have been moved one step lower to the "Note" button and "Session Button"
- In his video dchroeter mentioned that the buttons on the right were free for mapping them to whatever we wanted. I used them so that each button triggers a one-shot loop from a remix deck.
- The whole strip represent one row of 8 loops (going up and down) and you can change which of the four rows per deck you would like to trigger. To do this you toggle the "Add Effect" button I mentioned earlier and the "Add Track" Button. Those will bring you to rows 1 and 2 of remix deck C. For rows 3 and 4 use the "Select" and "Shift" buttons right underneath the effects and mixer tab.
- Now if your starting to get the idea then the downfall of this is that you can only trigger one row at a time before having to switch to another one. If you would like to switch between decks C and D then right above the strip of triggers there is the "Master" and "Stop" buttons. These will change buttons to trigger cells on remix deck D.
- The VU meters have been mapped to pitch changes. The button to the far left (deck b) and far right (deck c) will drop pitch by -1.5. The button to the left of that one (deck a) or to the left (deck b) will bring the pitch to 0 and the next two will bring the pitch to +1.5 and 6.0
Hope this worked for all you guys if it didn't or you need and help feel free to ask :)

Nice mapping!
Is there a way to bring the values of the knobs (e. g. cross-fade) to default? Push's knobs are touch-sensitive - is this feature available in the mapping?

How do I load remix decks on from the controller?

I have a better idea right now;;; I'm trying to map another modifier to switch the entire template to decks C and D as tracks. 4 deck mixing is part of my normal setup. also, why not add effects 3 and 4 with a toggle? I'll rip it a part when I have time. cheers.. -rj

Not a bad idea, in terms of 4 deck mixing check of dschroeter's new mapping (which is super dope bad props to him) here: https://maps.djtechtools.com/mappings/2791
