Description and Instructions

Hey guys,

I made a new controller map for the Traktor S2 MK3 to add some missing features from the S4/S5/S8.

This controller map adds the following features to the S2 MK3
  • Browser Auto-Dismiss: The browser is now automatically dismissed after loading a new track into a deck.
  • Stems Waveform View: Hold Shift + press Browse Mode button to toggle stem files view between normal (single) waveform and the regular stems (split) waveform. I added this as we can't control individual stems on the Traktor S2 MK3 so I'd prefer to just see a single waveform.
  • Audio Recorder: Hold Shift (Deck A) + Cue and then press the QNT button to toggle the Audio Recorder On/Off.
  • Loop Recorder: Hold Shift (Deck B) + Cue and then press the QNT button to toggle the Loop Recorder On/Off.
  • Crossfader Curve Adjust - Hold Shift and move the Crossfader from left (Smooth) to right (Sharp) to adjust the curve. Tip: Make sure you set the Crossfader curve before you hit Play on any decks as it will override the actual Crossfader position.
  • Reverse Playback (without Flux): Hold down Shift + Play button to reverse the playback without engaging Flux mode.
  • Flux Reverse Toggle On/Off - Hold down Shift + press the Reverse button to toggle on/off Flux Reverse (which means that there is no need to hold the button down continuously as is the case with the default behaviour).
  • Set Tempo to Zero - Hold down Shift + press down on the Loop encoder to set the Tempo Fader to zero.
  • Fine Tempo Adjust - Hold down Shift + turn the Loop encoder to finely adjust the tempo in increments of 0.01
  • Loop Mode - Hold down Shift + Hotcues button to enter into "Loop / Beat-jump Mode". The green Pads 1-4 have been set to the following loop sizes /8, /4, /2 and 1 (same as they are on the S8). Loops will be triggered with Flux automatically enabled. Tip: If you release Shift + Hotcues button before you release the Pad then the loop will be held until you disengage it. This will be indicated by the pad continuing to be lit green after returning to the Hotcues page.
  • Beat-jump - Hold down Shift + Hotcues button to enter into "Loop / Beat-jump Mode". The orange pads have been set to -/2, -1, +1, +/2 (same as they are on the S8). You can change the Beat-jump amounts in the Controller Manager. You can use Beat-jump with or without Flux enabled.
  • Key Adjust - Hold down Shift + move the Tempo Fader to adjust the Key of the track
  • Key Reset - Hold down Shift + press the Keylock button to reset the key of the track
  • Set Master Deck - Hold down Shift + press the Sync button to set the current Deck as Master
  • Browser Track Preview - While in the browser, hold down Shift + Cue (Shift first, then Cue). Now when you press the "Add to Preparation List" button it will add the current selected track to the Preview Player. Turning the Browse Knob will scrub through the track. Pressing down on the Browse Knob will Pause/Play the selected track. Tip: While previewing tracks, if you release Shift before Cue then you can remain in the Preview Player mode without holding Shift/Cue. Make sure if you want to go back to track browsing you release Shift after Cue.
  • Deck FX: Now we can use the Deck effects from the S2 MK3!
    Hold Shift + Mixer Cue A to route current deck through Deck FX Unit 1 
    Hold Shift + Mixer Cue B to route current deck through Deck FX Unit 2

    Deck FX Unit 1 Control
    Hold Shift + turn Deck A MixerFX knob to adjust FX Unit 1 Dry/Wet amount
    Hold Shift + turn Deck A EQ Low to adjust FX Unit 1 Knob 1
    Hold Shift + turn Deck A EQ Med to adjust FX Unit 1 Knob 2
    Hold Shift + turn Deck A EQ High to adjust FX Unit 1 Knob 3
    Hold Shift (Deck A) + press MixerFX button 1 to toggle FX Unit 1 button 1 on/off
    Hold Shift (Deck A) + press MixerFX button 2 to toggle FX Unit 1 button 2 on/off
    Hold Shift (Deck A) + press MixerFX button 3 to toggle FX Unit 1 button 3 on/off
    Hold Shift (Deck A) + press MixerFX button 4 to toggle FX Unit 1 on/off (Single effects only)

    Deck FX Unit 2 Control
    Hold Shift + turn Deck B MixerFX knob to adjust FX Unit 2 Dry/Wet amount
    Hold Shift + turn Deck B EQ Low to adjust FX Unit 2 Knob 1
    Hold Shift + turn Deck B EQ Med to adjust FX Unit 2 Knob 2
    Hold Shift + turn Deck B EQ High to adjust FX Unit 2 Knob 3
    Hold Shift (Deck B) + press MixerFX button 1 to toggle FX Unit 2 button 1 on/off
    Hold Shift (Deck B) + press MixerFX button 2 to toggle FX Unit 2 button 2 on/off
    Hold Shift (Deck B) + press MixerFX button 3 to toggle FX Unit 2 button 3 on/off
    Hold Shift (Deck B) + press MixerFX button 4 to toggle FX Unit 2 on/off (Single effects only)

thank you! i ve got some questions: how to turn back funcion o/f playing track again from the beginning - in default mapping it was SHIFT + CUE? how to deactivate changing of key when pressing SHIFT + TEMPO, because my scale of tempo is npt enough and i have to move putch to the beginig to continue its changing, but in that case key is changing and i can nothing do with that)
