Description and Instructions

The instalation is very easy:

  • Download the file.
  • Then locate the folder in Djay2 Music->Djay Pro 2->Midi Mapings
  • Paste the file there.
  • Open Traktor, then close traktor.
  • In your S4 Push Shift plus Preview.
  • Open Djay Pro 2, setup the audio.
  • Enjoy

I recomend to have the latest version of traktor, you can always edit the colors using the controller editor.

For anyone wondering how to install this out of the box on Mojave. 1. There is no -> Midi Mapings folder by default so don't look for it. 2. Download the file. 3. Open Traktor, then close traktor. 4. On your S4 Push Shift plus Preview. (put in midi mode) 5. Double click on the Downloaded midi mapp file (This will open Djay and ask if you want to install the mapping file) 6. Enjoy

🤘🙌You just saved my first big gig!🤘🙌 Traktor is so much less intuitive to use, and Djay has amazing key adjustment, which I lean on during every single set. Amazing mappings, very easily laid out... ALSO WORKS FOR DJAY PRO 1! MIDI Mappings folder was here for me: ~/Library/Containers/com.algoriddim.djay-pro-mac/Data/Library/Application Support/Algoriddim/MIDI Mappings

Can we use the same file for MKI Trakstor s4? The first release of s4?

Hey guys, i've set this up, and it's seeing the controller, but no buttons, sliders or knobs are working. It'd be great if someone could help me get this working, I'm willing to pay. Thank you Richard.

Open Traktor app, then close it. Then hold Shift on your controller while you press Preview The controller buttons should light up, and you should see "ON" in the displays where your looper is. In Djay, you probably have to go in to MIDI > Configure Traktor Kontrol S4 MK2 (or press ⌘Y), and from the MIDI Configuration drop down, make sure the one with all the mappings is chosen (for me, this was Traktor_Kontrol_S4_MK2 with underscores rather than spaces). Hi Everyone, Sorry i am late to the game. i did all the steps but when i close the traktor app, all the lights on my s4 go out. I open the djay pro app and it recognizes the s4 in midi but none of the controls work

any body out there solved this? as I downloaded the file from here but it doesn't recognise the file to actually be anything ?? how do I make it work or use it? and does it work on the mk1 s4?

This worked for me after a couple of tries. I redownloaded the file and replaced the new one on the folder that was created the first time I tried the install. Then go thru all the steps again after replacing the file. I did use the right-side Shift and the Preview buttons and hold them until I opened Djay Pro2. It's working for now. Hope this helps.

Hey guys, I found a solution! You need to rename the file in the latest version of djPro 2 and make sure the MIDI mapping is named with .djayMidiMapping exactly. There is a midi mappings folder in Music > MIDI Mappings > and use this mapping. Then restart dj Pro 2 while holding the right SHIFT + Preview. Then go to mappings and it should all be mapped. Enjoy!

Hey Guys, I've tried everything but its not working for S4. Can anyone provide any help? I saved the file in Dj pro 2 midi mapping folder and Dj Pro folder which I guess is for the AI version. Then followed the step of opening traktor and closing it. Then pressed shift+ view (I'm guessing that is preview) button but the DJ pro doesn't recognize midi mode. DJ pro does let me select Traktor S4 for precue or main output.
