DJ Player Pro for Pioneer DDJ-SB2
Description and Instructions
On the effects, the parameters are changed as usual with knob to the right of the buttons, but if you hold shift down when moving it, the knob changes the second parameter too.
With the effects buttons, if you hold shift down when you hit them, they act as frequency kill switches: L-R - Bottom, midrange, high
When track playing, holding shift and pressing play will trigger turntable motor kill
Regarding the 4 special buttons over the cue and loop buttons;
Hot cue;
When lit, the 4 buttons below store cue and loop points. You can still store a loop trap on the 8th cue point because you can set it via the GUI.
AUTO loop;
When lit, the 4 buttons are designated for loops of 1, 2, 4 and 8 bars respectively.
Manual loop;
When lit, set loop length via In and Out buttons. Loop is activated and cancelled via Exit button. Nothing is assigned to 1/2X button.
Sampler;
On this, I assigned it as scan buttons to scan through the track, so when lit, use In and Out buttons to skip the needle over the record. I think in future it'll be possible to assign this to the jog wheel when holding shift, but for now I think it's the best option.
• One thing I did notice was that there's a bug where DJPP assigns different midi actions to deck 2's filter and track load buttons so that if you assign a midi command via deck 1, then use DJPP 'copy' feature, it replaces the 2 features with the wrong midi notes.
**This mapping is for 2 decks only. Am working on a 4 Deck version**
