Description and Instructions

Buttons explanations

  • (Beatpad 2 button title): (DJ Player function)
  • Shift (+): Tempo Range (4%, 8%,16%,100%).
  • Jump: Cue.
  • Set: "[" or "IN", sets Cue Point. Press fast 3 times =  1st Beat Grid. 
  • Shift Jump ("|<"): jumps to 00:00.
  • Set Grid: Mark Bar.
 
Channel VU Meter : 7th led (first white) = 0dB.

Idea

This mapping was created for DJs who are already 'addicted' to use Beatpad 2 with Algoriddim Djay (iOS) but want to switch to more advanced (and non-resonant filters of) DJ Player. I tried to keep buttons and colours that feels familiar after using Djay, but at the same time to made it intuitive for using DJ Player.

Problems

Unfortunately it was not possible to control FX parameter with Jog Wheel (as it was with Djay), so you can use (+)/(-) buttons instead. If I find the way to use Jog Wheel, this mapping will be updated.
To Delete Cue Point is not possible with controller's buttons, use touch screen.

Imrortant

MIDI/Options/MIDI soft takeover (✓) - must be enabled, for physical Pitch Shift on Beatpad2 to 'catch' Pitch value of the app.

Really solid map for anyone wanting to try DJPP with beatpad 2. Really great the way you implanted the colours too.
