Description and Instructions

This is my first mapping, I've spent a lot of time on it and I hope you guys enjoy it!!

(This will get updated and more fleshed out, and a video will be made soon!)

***IMPORTANT: You must put the APC in "Dumb Mode" by opening Ableton Live and closing it before you open Traktor***

5/5/15 - 
Spent a good bit of time polishing up Freeze mode so it is MUCH less buggy now. 

From the Release Notes - 
  • Freeze Mode Fix/Change - Freeze Mode is now much harder to "bug out". 
  • The main difference users will notice is you can now set a loop, and THEN Freeze it. 
  • Another difference is when you are in Freeze Mode and press the Freeze button again, it will only disable Freeze Mode but NOT the Loop. To break out of Freeze Mode and your Loop, just hit the Loop button. 
  • In addition, Beatjump buttons will be disabled while Freeze mode is Enabled. This should prevent accidental button presses knocking you out of Freeze. To implement this particular fix I had to remove the SHIFT+ functionality of the beatgrid buttons, this was necessary and made sense as the SHIFT+ functionality was for fine control, which the recently added Jog Wheel Knob allows for. 
  • Pressing a Hotcue while in Freeze Mode will now properly close Freeze Mode, unless you press an empty hotcue(Temporary workaround is to just have all 8 hotcues set for your tracks. This is, AFAIK, the only way still remaining to bug out Freeze Mode, it should work properly if you Stop your loop before trying to Freeze again. I think this may be as good as this "bug" is going to be fixed unless it becomes a separate mapping, or better yet, if NI implements a Modifier to check "Is Freeze Mode Enabled". As it is now though, it's fairly solid when you have all 8 Hotcues set.)

2.8 is out, no Stem Decks yet :(

I've been playing with this a lot more and been making minor usability adjustments, there's more of that to come!

I think the new Freeze Mode implementation is a bit more useful overall even though it sacrifices a bit of functionality to get there. 

This is part 1 of the new implementation, I'm going to add at least 2 more "modes" for Freeze, a 12 Slice/Button mode(but you will lose your VU Meter for that track and the beatjump buttons) and a 16 Slice/Button Mode(Where you will lose access to your Hotcues but have 16 slices).

That will be the main part of 0.6 to 0.7, there might be some other minor additions/fixes, but for now the focus will be on streamlining and improving what is there.

Once Traktor 2.9(I guess?) drops and the Stem Decks are implemented then I may split the mapping into separate versions or something.

Known Issues - 
  • If Freeze Mode is not disengaged via the Freeze Mode button, the slices will not be accessible the next time you engage it(the modifier doesn't get flipped if you don't push the button). To Workaround this you have to push Freeze Mode and the cancel out by turning the loop off, now, the next time you engage Freeze Mode it should work properly.*FIXED- (Sorta) 0.6.1*

Hello! There is no Dump mode in Ableton 10 now, so I made a max patch to solve this problem. It works on macOS. By the way, this is the best APC40 mkII mapping for Traktor! https://nikoloz.bojgua.com/download/apc40-mkii-dump/

Hi Nikoloz Bojgua, Thx for your dump fonctionnality patch , it's work fine for me on Mac osx El capitan with Ableton Live 10 official. I'm looking to add some FX buttons for , respectively, FX 2 on deck A button, and FX 1 for deck B button. Do you have an idea because, I would like to use one button for one FX by Deck, (techno n house bedroom Djing ;-) any suggestions, ideas are welcome , thx by advance for every response.,thanks, Corporate Dread, for this mapping, n you for your help, BR, Candide

Hello... I perfect. I like it. Only one problem. I have tracto. 2.9 The boton for loop out deck A no work And all comand for deck c and D no work. Thankiuy really is perfect.

how did you get the knob strips leds to light up? in . dumb mode?
