Champagne Horizon's hot-cue drummer mapping

Description and Instructions

An intuitive mapping for Traktor and Lemur users, which can be used along side your existing DJ controller. It provides 8 large, touch-sensitive hot-cue pads for decks A and B, plus large headphone cue pads, pause/play pads, and Flux mode pads. There are a few smaller controls for features such as setting deck as tempo master, sync to bpm of the master, a key/pitch lock, and snap and quantize functions. A huge step up from the small buttons found on the NI controllers, and a solution for S4 mk1 controller owners who want a Flux mode button. Allows for finger drumming beats and patterns using the hot-cue points. Brought to you by DJ Brett B, founder of Champagne Horizon (LLC). www.facebook.com/champagnehorizon

I am happy to share this with the world-wide DJ community. This was built out of a love of playing/mixing music, frustration from the limitations of my DJ controller (Traktor S4 mk1), which has tiny rubbery buttons which tend to lose their sensitivity and become hard to press over time, and ultimately, this was built from a vision... I wanted to have large pads to trigger the hot-cue points in the track, both easily and instantaneously. I knew this would require tight spacing close together, large pads, and touch sensitivity that allows it to be played as a digital drum-pad. There are some commonly used features such as SYNC (which synchs the track to the Master deck's BPM), MASTER (to assign a deck as the tempo master, must be done without the track paused/stopped, so hit play and then assign it), KEY to lock the pitch (will not change the pitch when increasing/decreasing the BPM when engaged), SNAP (S) and QUANTIZE (Q) which help you stay beat gridded when toggling the hot-cue points, to stay on beat (or super precise when both are turned off, for finger-drumming using the hot-cues). Also, a FLUX mode pad is included for each deck, a feature completely not available on the mk1 S4 controller.

Also, I have another mapping available for the S4 MK1 Traktor controller to give the user every available loop size parameter (rather than skip from 16 beats to 8 beats to 4 beats to 1 beat etc. it includes EVERY interval) and also adds the option of FLUX mode to the button entitled "offset" with the "down" indicator, this is above the tempo fader. Good stuff! =) here that is: https://maps.djtechtools.com/mappings/4957
