Virtual DJ + Akai APC 40 template (dj tony g edit)

Description and Instructions

I already had a numark mixtrack that took care of basics but i needed MORE.

So I set out on a journey to map each effect to a button on the grid for each Deck, in order of the effect in the effects library.
Rows 1 and two are for left deck effects, Rows 4 and 5 are for right deck effects.

The 3rd row i setup for left deck 4,8,16,32 looping and the other 4 for the left deck looping.

The top 4 knobs on the top bank are for left deck effect parameters 1-4
the second row of the top knobs controls the right

I couldnt figure out how to utilize the bottom bank of knobs. meh...

Now the fun stuff. the Stop lips row plays sample tracks 1-8
The track selection row starts and stops recording a loop for each of the 8 sample tracks.

The activator row of buttons controls the on/off of looping the Samples

The Solo/Cue row cuts the loop of each sample in half,
The Record Arm row doubles the length of the loop in each sample

I also mapped the record button to start a recording.

I left a button for each browser window in the scene launch buttons

Mapped the tap tempo button.

so with this template, and another DJ mixer you can really get down with sampling and effects. a nice addition and sows off a lot of hidden features of VDJ. enjoy!

Installation:
Go to my documents, open up the virtual DJ folder, open up the mappers folder, save your current mappers file to another safe location, drop the xml file in and relaunch VDJ.
