Haven't had problems with "putting it in", however it seems that the channel/ID of the controller must be set to #1 for the script to work. That's something you do through the bootloader -- hold 5+6+7+8 when plugging in the pad (not kidding) or look up "Launchpad Mini Bootloader" for more info.
