Mixtrack Pro II 7 Hotcues, 8 C-deck samples and more...

Description and Instructions

This mapping is by no means perfect, nor finished, but very usable. It will be updated later on. Feel free to send in ideas or make your own variation.

What I've done:

- 7 Hotcues (4 on bottom, 3 on top toggled by top right pad), deletable via opposing shift + pad

- VU meters on top pads, turn off when hotcues 5-7 are switched on. They light up on the opposing deck so you can still see what you're doing with the effects on the deck that's playing

- Fixed sample pads. They didn't work properly at first and I've used all 8 for deck C as I have an F1 for deck D

- Scratch, hotcue toggle and shift modifier use only one modifier each

- Switched around the pitch bend and keylock/range buttons as I rarely use pitch bend

- Delay/feedback macro on FX Unit 1, toggleable via shift B + left top pad on deck A

- Turning the browser knob turns on browser only mode and turns off when load, play or cue buttons are pressed

- Loading a deck turns the monitor on for that deck only (loading deck a turns on monitor a and turns off monitor b for example)

- Some other small fixes (among which FX knobs, jogwheel touch)

Ideas on what to do next:

- Revision of effect controls (definitely)

- Deck C and D functionality

- Seperate C and D sample pads

- Beatmasher on jogwheels

Any ideas, comments, requests and suggestions are welcome. I can't promise to do everything of course, but I'll promise to listen :-)

As always import twice if you want to use the effect macro.

Marco about 11 years ago

No can do, the led ring cannot be controlled via midi on the MP2. It's simply on all the time.

You could document the features a bit better. How do you use the sample decks once you've got some samples in there? How do you use the delay macro?

Sorry for the late response. I didn't really plan to release it in this state, but I did anyway to help someone out. I'm currently finishing a different layout of the pads that gives it much more functions and also four deck control. The sample decks: Pressing a pad if a slot is empty it will fill it with the currently selected sound. When a slot is loaded but not playing it will play the slot. When it is playing it will start the sample again without shift and with the opposing shift (samples on the B side are stopped using the shift on the A side and vice versa) pressed it will stop the slot. The Delay macro is used by pressing the opposing shift button plus the FX1 button. I've used the comment field to explain which buttons do what, take a look in the controller manager.
