DJ Tech Dragon Two - Magebarf's 4 Deck mapping

Description and Instructions

Short description
This is a work-in-progress at making a full 4 Deck Traktor mapping
for the DJ Tech Dragon Two.

Credits
The mapping was based on work made by Cassidy Feder and one of the european DJ Tech staff.

How to work with it
A lot of the controls works as expected, but there are a lot of features that are not clear before exploring. I've tried to make a summary of them here.

Abbreviations
S+ - Shift Button + <button>
Chan.Enc. - Channel Encoder (above Sync & In buttons)

Playback
S+Jog - Seek
S+Scratch On - Flux Mode On/Off
S+CUP - Adjust Key -1 Semi-tone
S+CUE - Adjust Key +1 Semi-tone

Loops
RE - Jump to loop start
S+RE - (Re)Activate loop
Turn Chan.Rot.Enc. - Change Loop Size
Push Chan.Rot.Enc. - Activate Loop at current position with selected size

Beatjump / Loop Move
S+Bend +/- - Move Beatjump/Loop/Loop In/Out forward/backward
S+Push Chan.Enc. - Change Move mode between Beatjump/Loops
S+Turn Chan.Enc. - Change move size

Browsing
Browser - Toggle browser only layout
Select Encoder - Move Up/Down in browser list
S+Select Encoder - Move Page Up/Down in browser list
S+Push Select Encoder - Listen to selected track in browser in preview player/clear preview player.

While listening to preview player turning the Select Encoder
will move the preview player position, for previewing certain sections of song.

Working with the effects
The effects section does need a explanation of its own.

The key component to controlling effect in this mapping is
by toggling through which effect to control by using the effects button in the top right corner.

Neutral Mode
When the Effects button is not lit up, it means you're not in control of any specific effect, and in this mode you have the following controls:

Turn P1-P4 - Wet/Dry Mix for FX1 - FX4 correspondingly
Push P1,P2,S1,S2 - Turn FX1, FX2, FX3, FX4 routing on for Deck A or C
Push P3,P4,S3,S4 - Same as above for Deck B or D

In this mode, the P1-P4 and S1-S4 lights up to indicate which
FX routing is enabled for Deck A/C and B/D.

Effects Control Mode
Push the Effects button top right once, and it will light up indicating that you're now in effects control mode.

The row of LEDs in buttons S1-S4 will also light up, to indicate
which of the four effect's you're currently controlling. Try pushing the Effects button a few times and you'll come full circle back to the neutral mode.

Then the top right Effects button and S1 is lit up, you're in
control of FX1 and so on. The LEDs in P1-P4 will in this mode show which of the decks are routed into the effect you're controlling.

So, if S1 is lit up, and P2 and P3 is lit up, it means that Deck B and
Deck C is routed into FX1. Pushing P1-P4 will turn the routing on and off for each deck A-D correspondingly (note that this is in increasing
order, and not according to the labels on the controller).

The full list of controls for each effect is as follows:
Push P1-P4 - Turn on routing from Deck A-D to current effect
Turn P1 - Wet/Dry Mix
Turn P2-P4 - FX Knob 1-3
S1 - FX On/Off
S2-S4 - FX Button 1-3
S+S1 - Toggle Single/Group FX
S+S2 - Walk through effects for single FX or first of group FX
S+S3-S4 - Walk through effects for Group FX 2 and 3

TODO List
There's still plenty of things to do to improve the mapping. And in case anyone wants to dig in and do so, here are a few points I have next on my own list of things to improve:
  • Cue button lighting (Beatjump on cue does not light up cue button)
  • Fix Loop LEDs
  • Revert Re-Loop/Jump To Loop start buttons
  • Sampler or Remix Decks maybe? :)

I just purchased the dragon 2 for 205 euros!!!. Amazing controller. I used your mapping. Very good !!! I modified according to my my needs (bars and small clubs djing). I am new to mapping and i can't make two things working 1. CUE LED flashing when track end warning is coming up. I made it lit up but not flashing 2. PLAY/PAUSE LED flashing when a track is loaded or deck in paused. (and stay lit on when the deck is playing) (cue, play/pause and cup LEDS CAN flash, i test it) I can't figure out the "flashing" situation.I suppose is something with beatphase but i can't do it. Please help me if you can. Thank you very much.
