Ok, so I sorta succeeded to make it work on my laptop and when using the map on my girlfriend's laptop it didn't work (the B deck was still inactive) so I figured out that when changing the "m2" value to 0, it suddenly worked! freaking strange...

hmm that's strange since M2 at 0 means that deck B is in regular mode and pressing the top right button on your X1 actually sets M2 to 1 which opens up the mixer functionality

I just tried enabling soft takeover myself and I've found that it only works one time after I open Traktor. It happens every time, it works once and then it jumps just like you explained. I've read that there has been some bugs with soft takeover in the past and it seems NI hasn't fixed the problem. I really like your idea! it would be great with soft takeover for this mapping so I will do my best to make it work. If I find a solution, I will update the mapping here on DJTT :)

yes this is big disappointment. i'm using your modifiers to write my own controls and having the same problem. soft takeover only works during the first engagement of the modifier, after that when you re-engage the modifier the software setting jump to the hardware position which is a big bug if you ask me! i suppose this is a bug in the ni HID connection. I'll bet that with MIDI it would not happen.

I have great news for you Travis! I solved the problem with soft takeover! I've uploaded the solution as version 1.0 which also includes controls for the FILTERS and the addition of a CROSSFADER. Thank you for your input! It took me almost a month but it finally got it to work :)

Hi! I also am running 2.6.7 but without problems. Are you sure that the FX SECTION on the right side is set to GROUP MODE? If they are set to group mode and it's still not working, I suggest that you re-install the mapping.

I thought about it, but turning down the gain would mean that you wouldn't be able to cue the track in your headphones.

Thanks for your support and feedback! I haven't experienced any of the problems you describe with regards to the installation. However, any mapping I download from DJ TECHTOOLS ends up as a .xml file instead of .tsi, did this happen to you? I just realized that I can upload it as a .zip file which should solve this problem. As for your S2 acting up, you use an S2 and the X1 together? I'm not sure but if this is the case, there might be overlapping and interference because you are using double sets of transport, browse, FX and mixer controls, haven't tried this myself but got a lot of interference when I was running my personal mapping and had forgotten to turn of the default mapping, effectively doubling up all commands on my X1. Now to the BROWSE encoder, this mapping helps me greatly in my own personal workflow but I guess this is highly individual. I always run TRAKTOR with a very essential layout only showing deck A + B with some minor info and without displaying the FX units, the MIxer or anything superfluous at all. However I've also created a more extended view with Mixer, FX units and the whole shebang so that I can double check my preferences, turn on record and set up hot cues etc. I never use the browse mode so with this mapping I can DJ as usual in the essential view and then if I quickly want to check my settings, I just press the BROWSE encoder and therefore one reason less to ever touch my computer. If you rather use the default browse mode, then just delete this part of the mapping but if you want to use it with one of your layouts, then go into the mapping and under "Layout Selector" choose "Set to value" and pick your desired layout. This is my first mapping ever so I'm trying to figure out the details and this layout feature might be so personal that I will use it myself but remove it from the mapping in the future. Glad you like my mapping otherwise and I agree that the touch strip could become very useful because right now I barely use it for anything.

Yep, mine was also XML. The import had no problem recognizing it when i specified to look for "all files" instead of just ".tsi" I am using S2+F1 and X1mk2 now, S2 and F1 are currently on default mappings, while i am looking for perfect balance on what i need to my setup :) Your mapping is very close to being an essential part of it. I am also now on a process of cleaning up my old laptop to be a dedicated DJ station, so i would imagine these unresponsiveness issues on my S2 are most likely just user side errors. After i double imported the mapping, and rebooted, it never happened again. I would guess there were some USB/midi interfering that caused this behavior, which was cleared after reboot and bunch of windows updates. Currently, it seems that both EQ/sliders etc use perfectly together when used for decks A & B. I am only using this setup while i try to master the X1mk2 hardware, so i can start using this mapping to control decks C & D exclusively, while still keeping my S2 as the main controller. My old laptop can only run 1366 X 768 resolution, so i would imagine this is why our needs for the browse button don't match ;) The problem was easily fixed by disabling that part of the mapping anyways. Thanks for the layout tip, i'll check this out. You've helped me to learn quite a bit, as this mapping is relatively easy to follow for someone who is new to mappings. Keep up the good work ;)

I see, well good you got it sorted. The new version is exactly the same as the previous, I just put it in a .zip file so that when you open it, it will be .tsi and not .xml

Spy as much as you want :P haha I tried to map the touch strip to the filter but it seems that NI haven't enabled this mapping functionality yet. Hope this will be enabled in a future TRAKTOR update, the touch strip could be really useful.

I no english good today. Nevertheless, great looking mapping. Will test it tomorrow! Do you know if this is the first mapping available for X1mk2? Or, are there other ones out there? In all fairness, this was pretty much the first idea i came up with when i thought how i would want to map this badboy.

Haven't seen any other mappings for the new X1 so far, but then again, I haven't really looked around, my mapping does what I need :)

I don't have an X1 MK1 to test it with, but I doubt it... You're welcome to try, would be nice for me to know and for anyone interested in this mapping.

Sorry for the late reply. For some reason, Safari and Chrome (as far as I know) recognises .tsi as .xml which creates some confusion. All you need to do is download as usual and then change .xml to .tsi then load into TRAKTOR.
