The mapping took a lot of time, and we are offering it for free to anyone who wants it. If you’ve tried or used this mapping, don't forget to come back here and give it a like or dislike so that others can see useful feedback.

I bought the K2, assuming that I could unpack the K2, connect it to Rekordbox, and use it as a standalone device. When I realized that this was pure wishful thinking, I searched for ready-made MIDI mappings and unfortunately didn't find any useful ones. Then, I came across MIDI Translator Pro. Weeks later, after a steep learning curve, I had the first version up and running, and I'm very satisfied with it—it does exactly what I need, and even a bit more.

The challenge was to be able to control all the 3-way mapped buttons and rotaries without activating the latch mode on the K2.
Since MIDI in Rekordbox can only be configured in a very rudimentary way, the effort for mapping is relatively high. In particular, controlling the LEDs turned out to be quite complex, as the LED states in Rekordbox cannot be queried.

All files, including the instructions, can be downloaded here.

Lovely brothers! Looks like a lot of work❤️ 2 things that came up while playing around: - Would it be possible to use the advanced CFX (CFX with the 3 dots) which would enable to activate the filter for each channel separately. Then we could assign the master cue instrad to filter On channel 2. As the rotary knob don't lock in the middle (as they do on the DJM) it's tricky to use them. Or change the logic to more xone like (clicking a button changes the behaviour to LPF or HPF and then turning the knob all the way to the left for to deactivate. - using the looping felt not intuitive for me. Every time i used it I messed it up😅 What I usually do an CDJs is loop a 4 bar and extent or narrow. Would it be possible that the Loop Rotary loops automatically a 4 bar if there is no loop active and disables it. Currently it's jumping back to the previous loop if there was a loop active, or don't to anything at all. Or if not possible: Holding the loop-in button for 1 sec is creating a 4 bar? Hello Temo, Thank you very much for your feedback and suggestions. CFX might be a good idea, and I see your point about the loop, but I'm not so sure about the implementation. I need to think about these points. Unfortunately, I have a few other projects to finish at the moment. But I'll get back to it, I promise! Grossgruss us em 4i, notip

I love what you've setup here. There are some functions that I like to use that are a little hard to access in this. What is the best way to edit this midi map to my own preferences?

Midi Translator Pro is the way to go. It is important that you understand what exactly happens in the patch. Then you can adapt it to your wishes. Just out of curiosity, which functions are difficult to access?
