Kontrol S2 mk1 for DjayPro v5

I have long benefited from the knowledge and expertise of numerous DJs and industry professionals. Feeling a sense of obligation to give back, I am making my first contribution. I hope this information will be helpful to someone.

Unable to find a pre-existing MIDI map for Algoriddim's Djay Pro (version 5) specifically tailored to the Traktor Kontrol S2 mk1, I took the initiative to create a custom MIDI map based on Diego Valenzuela’s excellent work for the S2 mk2. Thanks to Valenzuela’s efforts, I have been able to breathe new life into this vintage piece of hardware. I am truly grateful.

The S2 mk1 has two primary hardware limitations:

Standalone MIDI mode is not supported: It requires a dedicated driver.

No CC assignments are available for simultaneous presses of the hardware SHIFT key.

These constraints essentially limit its usability to Windows environments and restrict the number of available MIDI CC numbers.

To address these limitations, I've created a custom MIDI map for Djay Pro that assigns the "SHIFT" function within the software. This makes it exclusive to the Windows version. Due to the limited MIDI CC resources, I've had to omit the SAMPLER function entirely.

While I understand that few people might consider using the S2 mk1 in this day and age, I've taken on this project due to personal preferences. For those who, like myself, cannot use Pioneer products for certain reasons (a lighthearted exaggeration), this mapping provides an affordable and robust solution to enjoy Djay Pro with the S2 mk1.

Of course, STEM functionality is fully supported.
