Denon MC3000 optimized
Description and Instructions
This is my first mapping for 2 track decks and 2 remix decks. It is based off of the default mapping from Denon's website. All of the controls listed in their user manual will still apply. Below is a list of changes I have made. Basically, all LEDs will light up and basic features that should have been included with the original mapping are added, plus some tweaks here and there.
shift + filter | changes pan/balance of deck
shift + low EQ | adjusts key of deck
shift + mid EQ | changes the mid/low EQ (using Zone type EQ)
shift + right gain | changes master volume in Traktor
record + left gain | changes dry/wet of loop recorder
record + right gain | changes gain of track recorder
record + play/pause | is start/stop for the track recorder
record + key lock | is beat tap for master clock
CF mode | changes between the different layouts (extended, essential, etc)
press and hold ducking | decreases volume on all decks
press shift and hold ducking | increases volume on all decks
play/pause buttons blink when paused
cue buttons stay lit and blink when held down
sample + load a/c or b/d | loads remix set into deck c or d
remix decks c/d hot cues 1-4 light up when remix slot is muted (dim when inactive, bright when active)
remix decks c/d hot cues 5-8 light up when remix slot FX is on (dim when inactive, bright when active)
led lights for EFX, cue, and loop buttons light up (dim when inactive, bright when active)
key lock on remix decks c/d will key lock all slots
sample + cues 1-4 on remix decks c/d, turns on slot monitor for corresponding sample
sample + cues 5-8 on remix decks c/d, turns on punch mode for corresponding sample
switched tempo faders to soft takeover (so pitch doesn't jump when switching off sync to use slider)
volume faders switched to soft takeover (so volume doesn't jump when switching between decks c/d)
enhanced scratch/tempo bend (set tempo bend sensitivity to 100%, progressive)
efx + sync | turns on flux mode
sample + auto loop | changes loop move mode
shift + plus/minus buttons | moves loop forward/backwards according to mode type (this is not a change)
sample + plus/minus buttons | changes move size
efx + FX1 | turns on FX unit 3 efx + FX2 | turns on FX unit 4
*when using group FX, only efx buttons 2-4 will light up, using single FX will allow all FX buttons to light up (i debated on doing this, but when using group FX, EFX.button 1 is not used)
*this list of changes is to the best of my knowledge, and is listed in the order in which the changes were made

working great with win7 and traktor pro.
Thank you for makin tis map
Is this mapping possible?
1: How can i change sensitivity of the behavior of the filter knob Its to sensitive, al little bit input competely kills the music, trying to make it more smooth end less sensitive.
3: How can i configure one of the hardware buttons of the denon to act like a low kill switch? Also want to configure a hardware button to switch the crossfader on/off because i use mostly faders but want to switch rappidly to the crossfader.
4: When starting a loop, its starts from present position in the song. Can i configure it that it starts from a cue point?
5: If i want to scroll tru a song when using the jogwheels how can i speed this up? Sometime my fingers are smoking I know the shift +/- function but want to use the platter when scrolling. Can i assign shift-jogwheel instead of shift pitch bent?

I love the LED's being lit. However, on Macbook Pro, Traktor 2.6.1, any one of your TSI's I download, I have an issue. When scrolling through playlist, it jumps songs in the list (instead of going 1 2 3, it might go 1 3 5 6 9) it does not "stop" on every song, it skips some. I would really like to be able to use this TSI, but this issue is a problem. Any ideas?

sounds like you need to adjust the sensitivity of the select knob. you can find it in controller manager under (select up/down (browser.list)). then adjust the encoder sensitivity higher or lower.

I downloaded this mapping and I'm running Windows XP SP3 and it seems to be working perfectly, Thanks very much I like your additions to the mapping.

Thanks, I'm currently working on a better version that uses 4 track decks or 4 remix decks, with 4 fx units. started from scratch to use it as a 2nd mapping that you can switch to from the controller.

I would love a mapping for 3 full decks a,b,c & 1 Remix deck. and 2 efx would be perfect for me :) Keep up the good work, I wish I had more time to try and do this request myself but unfortunately I don't.

have you tried changing to a different type of filter, in the mixing menu, under preferences? those will have different sensitivity and cut-off. if changing them is still too touchy, you need to change the settings in controller manager > filter adjust > change all 4 filter adjust settings from "direct" interaction mode to "relative" mode. then you will need to set the sensitivity and acceleration however you like. as for having a kill switch for the EQ, I couldn't think of a good mapping for 4 channels with no extra buttons or indicator lights. plus every button is already used, so you would end up using the shift button too. also, i don't think there is a way to map on/off of the crossfader, from what i seen. i believe that is hardware based, not software - the controller would need it built in. you can program a loop as a cue point in Traktor. once you set a cue point, Traktor will remember it for future sets. you have to start the loop, and hit an unused cue button. you can have up to 8 cued loops on a track. or you can use the loop recorder, and send the loop to the remix deck slots. finally, for the jog wheels. shift is already in use with the jog wheel, you will have to use another button (modifier). it's fairly easy to add in though. go to preferences > controller manager > make sure device says MC3000 > click add in button > deck common > jog turn. then under device mapping, click "learn", turn left jog wheel, click "learn" again to enter, change modifier condition to modifier "M2" value "3" (this is the record button), set type of controller to encoder, and change assignment to deck a. then do this again for deck b using the other jog wheel. now the jog wheel will scroll faster through the song while holding "record". you can even change the sensitivity to whatever works good for you.
