Description and Instructions

Here are the main features for this VMS4 mapping review :
  1. Four deck with total control with three different layout for a total control (and you can switch A/C layout and B/D layout independantly from one another), 
  2. three different layouts with unique features : 3 different Led layout , 6 different Vumeter rendering (wether if the deck is on loop or not),
  3. JogFX (4settings at the moment),
  4. Beatslicer (midifghter reverse engeniered),
  5. Echofreeze efffect,
  6. Beatmasher (midifighter reverse engeniered),
  7. Traktor Decks Layout control (2 top deck and 2 bottom deck can be modified together),
  8. needle drop,
  9. 8 Cue points,
  10. Sample deck control (improved on the next version),
  11. dynamic loop control (moving loops+ moving size with pitch bend)
  12. ...
It's the fifth version I reworked, and as you can see, there's a huge amount of features.

Love the mapping for the most part. Seem to have some glitches with a few things (browser mode, JogFX not working on and off) and for the sample section is it the same now for the remix decks or are you going to change that? Other than that, awesome. -ZAVA

Oh... Can you describe the bug please? The deck loading and brownsing works only if both decks are in the standard mode. Other thing you have to know is that traktor pro 2.5+ modifies a lot the way the modifiers works, so I'll have to rework the mapping totally for this version. One more thing, what doesn't work in jogFX? Thanks for the review and the kind words. Pierre

It's probably because I just updated to 2.5 that everything is screwy. The Pitch [+] button will trigger browsing. I also thought that the left white knob in browser modes would allow you to scroll the left side (playlists) and the red one on the right would allow you to scroll through the tacks. They both go through the tracks. Some of the LEDs don't change when I hit them or stay the same when they're supposed to be off (like the ReLoop for the JogFX) which has made me a bit confused trying to play in the dark. And the sample decks are now remix decks, but I'm use you already knew this... Also wanted to know if in the enact release you could turn on the VINYL button so that you could scroll through the track slowly (most of the time, the touch strips aren't good enough to get fine tuning to the right spot)? This mapping is really great, better than anything other out there. Just another, better manuel would be perfect (a pdf or a video) ;)

Well... I'm actually working on a better/more comprehensive manual, but I think I'll finish it only in a couple of weeks... If it has to be clear and clever, it'd better being polished ;)

Hi my friend...your work on this map it's quiet awesome...I just bought a VMS4 used and traing to play with Traktor 2.6.0 as up someone describe lot of "macro" and functions doesn't work fine I gues because of there must be difference between the traktor version you mapped and the last. I understood that you probably dismissed your VMS4 to going through better "machines" and for that I think at the moment is quite impossible for you to upgrade your wonderfull map, but I'm so courious to see it work fully, that I wanna just to know on wich version of traktor you mapped the last V 0.5.0 ? Thak's a lot for your great work and yes, definetelly the pdf manual will be better than Prezi one :)
